Eric Anderson, CPA has over 10 years of professional experience in accounting and finance. Eric began their career in 2007 as a Youth Advocate for the Youth Leadership Institute, where they initiated proposals to curb the sale of tobacco to minors and worked with city councils, police departments, and other youth advocate groups. In 2010, they interned at L.J. Anderson Tax and Financial Services, providing administrative support to the accounting firm servicing individual and small business tax returns. Eric also interned at Adams Investment Group, providing support to the director of development at this boutique real estate investment firm.
In 2012, Eric began their professional career at KPMG US as an Audit Intern, and was promoted to Senior Audit Associate in 2013. During their time at KPMG, they tested the financial statement accounts for technology and emerging growth companies ranging in size from Series A to Series E round of financing. In 2016, they moved to Cypress Wealth Advisors as Partnership Accounting Manager.
In 2018, Eric joined Lyric as Accounting Manager, where they directed the revenue function in accordance with ASC 606 from various booking channels and promptly reported to appropriate jurisdictions for tax reporting and compliance. Eric also managed a Senior Accountant and oversaw invoicing for an established hotel in New York.
Most recently, in 2021, Eric joined Wheelhouse as Director of Accounting.
Eric Anderson, CPA holds a Certified Public Accountant certification from the California Board of Accountancy. Eric received their Master's degree in Accounting from The George Washington University School of Business in 2013, and their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same institution in 2012. Prior to that, they attended Junipero Serra High School from 2004 to 2008.
