Joe Styles

Joe Styles is an experienced policy advisor and researcher currently serving in the Network & Communications Group at Ofcom since September 2024, focusing on improving accessible and reliable digital communication. Joe has a diverse background in parliamentary and research roles, including positions as Senior Parliamentary Assistant to Robin Walker MP and Parliamentary Assistant to Mary Robinson MP, where responsibilities included managing constituent correspondence and supporting committee operations. As a Research Assistant in the House of Lords, Joe supported multiple members of the Liberal Democrat Party, contributing to various policy initiatives. Joe also has experience with WHISTLEBLOWERSUK, assisting in a not-for-profit capacity, and has engaged in research related to online safety through an internship with the House of Commons Petitions Committee. Joe holds a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Hull, completed in 2021, with a focus on UK Parliamentary Politics.
