Rebecca Durgin Kerr serves as the Editorial Director at the White House Historical Association since January 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Museum Teacher at the National Building Museum, a Costume and Textiles Intern at Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, and various internships at the U.S. Department of State and Smithsonian Institution. Additionally, Rebecca has worked in museum education and research capacities at the National Museum of the United States Navy and has experience in teaching Social Studies at Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree in the History of Decorative Arts from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education Social Studies from the University of Maryland.
