Jarrett Horton has been working in the technology industry since 2013. Jarrett began their career as an IT Manager for Performing Properties LLC, where they were responsible for building and maintaining mid-tier computer networks, developing network maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budget analysis, and keeping the team up to date on the latest networking technologies. In 2015, they took on an IT Specialist/ Network Administrator Extern role with the U.S. Department of Labor, where they created accounts for users, built and deployed a Golden Image, worked with Active Directory, advised in the process of network sharing, learned basic Checkpoint Endpoint skills, worked with the Microsoft Terminal Service Console, updated group policies, mapped network drives, and provided assistance to Federal Judges in the deployment of newly imaged laptops. In 2016, they became the Director of Technology Operations at 2020Realty, where they leveraged new technologies and frameworks by providing agents with the cutting edge lead generation, CRM, and data analysis tools. In 2017, they took on a Data Center Intern role at Anthem, where they assisted with remote data center sites for policy adherence and work intake, recommended changes or updates to the current IT strategy, and physically installed switches and servers. Since 2018, they have been working as a Software Engineer II for Whiteboard Federal Technologies.
Jarrett Horton earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Bridgewater College between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they attended Grassfield High School from 2010 to 2014. Jarrett has also obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including an AWS Certified Developer - Associate in November 2020, as well as MOS: Microsoft Office Excel 2013 and MOS: Microsoft Office Word 2010 certifications.
