Andrew McCartney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. In 2014, they served as the Chief Hacking Officer at TaDaweb, a small data platform that aimed to enhance human intelligence for information discovery and analysis on the internet. Andrew continued in this role until the present.

In 2015, McCartney co-founded Whitespace, a VC firm focused on investing in startups that addressed corporate challenges. Andrew also played a crucial role in making their technology suitable for enterprise use and building a skilled tech team. McCartney's involvement with Whitespace is ongoing.

McCartney served as a Technical Advisor at novos AI, a company that specializes in artificial intelligence, starting in April 2019. Alongside this role, they also served as a Technical Advisor at ByzGen, a company dedicated to securing and controlling business data, starting in October 2019.

In March 2020, McCartney became a Board Member of the French Tech Programme UK IRL, contributing to the growth of French technology companies in the UK and Ireland.

Furthermore, they held positions as a Board Member at Emergent Alliance, a not-for-profit community aimed at informing economic decision-making post-Covid-19, from March 2020 to January 2022. McCartney was also an Advisory Board Member at CENTI, a technology company, from September 2019 to October 2020.

Additionally, McCartney has served as a Go To Market Advisory Board Member at Magic Leap since October 2021, providing insights and guidance on their GTM strategy and other aspects of the company's operations. Andrew is expected to continue in this role until January 2023.

Lastly, McCartney served as a Non-Executive Director at Found.Cloud, a company involved in the cloud services industry, from November 2018 to June 2020.

Most recently, in 2022, McCartney began working as a Technical Advisor and Investor at Cheap NFT Art.

Andrew McCartney obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Queen's University Belfast. Andrew attended the university from 1994 to 2000. In addition to their degree, Andrew also received certification as a Lean Startup Machine Mentor in March 2014.
