Deanna Merino-Contino

Deanna Merino-Contino currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Life at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, leading nine departments focused on enhancing student experiences. Previously, Deanna held the position of Associate Dean of Student Life at Whittier College, providing leadership and support within the Student Life team. Deanna's extensive experience also includes serving as Vice President and Dean of Students at California State University, Fullerton, where significant contributions were made to scholarship retention programs, including the Guardian Scholars and President's Scholars initiatives. Deanna's earlier roles include Director of the Center for Scholars and various positions related to academic advisement and Greek life at Cal Poly Pomona. Deanna holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Azusa Pacific University, among other academic credentials.
