Jay Karpen

Jay Karpen, CFA, CTFA has a diverse work experience in investment management. Jay currently holds the role of Portfolio Manager and Vice President at Whittier Trust Company, starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Assistant Vice President at the same company from September 2018 to December 2021. Before joining Whittier Trust Company, Jay worked as an Investment Manager at City of Hope from November 2017 to August 2018. Jay began their career at M. Safra & Co. in December 2006, where they held the position of Manager of Alternative Investments until June 2017.

Jay Karpen, CFA, CTFA earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Connecticut College in 2006. Jay also participated in a Study Abroad program at the University of Oxford in 2005. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification from the American Bankers Association in 2021 and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
