Dan Epley

Dan Epley is the Vice President for the Grocery department, leading the merchant teams for Dairy, Beverage, Frozen, Snacks, Candy, Meals, Baking, Essentials, and Breakfast. The Grocery Team works with current and new suppliers to provide our customers with the best packaged food on the planet. This includes finding suppliers, determining route to market, putting together the best presentation for stores, and determining how to market and promote products.

Before Whole Foods Market, Dan spent 26 years in Merchandising at Target Corporation where he had leadership roles in Grocery, Domestics, Electronics, Home Improvement, and Sporting Goods. He’s known for brand development, innovative merchandising, strategic negotiations, marketing, process improvement, and sourcing. While not at work he enjoys adventures with his partner Tammie, including checking out Whole Foods Market’s supplier partners and farms, Texas State Parks, fishing remote Canadian lakes, and spending time with family, including his three grandchildren.
