Suzanne Freeman, PhD, currently serves as Curriculum Manager, Project Manager, and Instructional Designer at WHRO Public Media since October 2014, where responsibilities include planning, designing, and developing interactive web applications for online courses. Previous experience includes serving as a Board Member for Amizade Global Service Learning, supporting global empowerment through service and learning, and as Washington DC Site Director for Amizade, facilitating community-driven learning about poverty and homelessness. Suzanne has also held the position of Interim Executive Director at Adventures of the Mind, promoting mentorship for students, and worked as Director of Student Programs & Curriculum at Operation Smile, enabling youth across 54 countries to engage in educational and leadership initiatives. Earlier in the career, Suzanne taught gifted students at Chesapeake Public Schools, creating original curricula for diverse 4th and 5th graders. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology along with a Master's degree in Teaching from the University of Virginia.
