Gransvill (Bear) Jones

Gransvill (Bear) Jones has a long and varied work experience in the audio engineering and broadcasting field. Gransvill (Bear) began their career in 1998 as the President of De'jaVu Records Entertainment, LLC, a small independent label where they did all the recording, mixing, and mastering of music production. That same year, they also began working as an Audio Engineer at Black Entertainment Television (BET). In 2005, they became the Assistant Chief Engineer at CBS Radio/WJFK and WNEW, where they monitored and adjusted equipment to maintain quality broadcasts, observed monitors, and logged transmitter readings. In 2013, they began working as an Audiovisual Specialist at DCPL, providing A/V support to every library in Washington DC with media carts, portable screens, sound systems, and more. Finally, in 2020, they became the Assistant Director of Engineering at WHUR 96.3 FM HD1.

Gransvill (Bear) Jones attended PG from 1987 to 1990, where they studied Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology/Technician.
