Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a focus on developing collaborative solutions and educational technology. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris plays a crucial role in hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and related devices. Previously, Chris worked as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, contributing to firmware and diagnostic tool development, and served as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices. Early career experiences include a position as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where contributions were made to control systems for the forestry industry's harvester units. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
