David Wheeler

David Wheeler has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. David is the Co-Founder & CEO of WAVR - Wide Awake VR, Inc., a company that provides a safer and more immersive way for medical and dental procedures to be experienced without the need for general anesthesia or sedation. Prior to this, in 2017, they founded Digital Circus Media LLC, where they acquired the media rights to a sci-fi novel and created a proof of concept film for a series based on the novel.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, David worked as an Online Teaching Specialist at Coursera/MSU, where they developed and authored online writing classes with over 250,000 students enrolled worldwide. David'swork was recognized by Inc. magazine, which listed their class "Write Your First Novel" as one of the 30 most popular online classes of 2020. David also created programs in feature filmmaking and executive produced student-made feature films at Michigan State University, where they served as a Creative Research Faculty Member and the Director of Media Sandbox.

David'searlier work includes roles as the Creative Director at Machinima Inc., Senior Creative Director at Electronic Arts, and Content Director at Vivendi Universal Games. David also co-founded Digital Circus, a Vancouver-based company specializing in interactive movies and streaming video technology.

Additionally, David has experience as an executive producer and co-creative lead at Lunny Communications, where they directed a team in the creation of multimedia exhibits for the Saudi Science and Technology Center. David also co-founded Aftermath Media, creating groundbreaking interactive dramas such as "Tender loving Care" which gained critical acclaim.

Throughout their career, David Wheeler has demonstrated a passion for innovation and creativity across various mediums, including VR technology, online education, filmmaking, interactive media, and storytelling.

David Wheeler attended The London Film School in London, England, where they completed a 2-year post-graduate course. David graduated with honors, although the specific start and end year for their studies are unknown.
