In this role, they led the global market analysis and modeling of energy efficiency and industrial energy demand for the World Energy Outlook. Fabian was also involved in drafting various chapters of the World Energy Outlook and special reports on climate change and investment.
Fabian's early career includes positions as a Research Assistant at UCL Energy Institute, where they advanced the global energy model and contributed to discussions on scientific problems, and as a Research Associate at the University of Stuttgart, where they worked on the development of a global energy system model.
Fabian also gained valuable experience through internships at Isoroy, where they worked in wood procurement for a fiberboard plant, and at L'Oréal, where they optimized cost-releasing procedures and developed reporting processes using SAP Business Warehouse.

Fabian Kesicki has a diverse education history. Fabian obtained their PhD in Energy and Economics from UCL, starting in 2009 and completing it in 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Business Engineering degree at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2002 to 2007, earning an MSc (Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.) degree. In 2006 and 2007, they also attended Grenoble INP - UGA, where they completed two additional degrees. Fabian obtained an MSc (Ingénieur diplômé) in Industrial Engineering and an MPhil (Master Recherche) in the same field.
