Matthijs Boeschoten is an experienced program leader specializing in sustainable agriculture and ecological innovation. Currently, Matthijs serves as the Programmaleider Innovatie & Inspiratie at Wij.land, focusing on creating a balanced peat meadow landscape with a network of farmers, ecologists, and entrepreneurs. Previously, Matthijs developed the Duurzaam Boeren program, which expanded from a soil project for eight farmers to a broad initiative involving over 200 farmers in sustainability projects. Prior roles include Project Developer at Commonland, where Matthijs contributed to the establishment of Wij, and as a trainee at Provincie Noord-Holland, gaining experience in green infrastructure projects. Additional experience includes project management at Klimaatroute and consultancy roles during education at Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam, culminating in a Master's degree in Environmental Science.
