Laura Wensley

Laura Wensley, CA-CPA, has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Laura is currently serving as the Vice President of Accounting at FANDOM since January 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Creator.co as a Co-Founder and Advisor starting from July 2016. In the same year, they also founded and worked as a Consulting Partner at Finly Consulting, where they focused on cost management, financial reporting, and internal controls among other areas. From October 2017 to June 2018, Laura worked as the Director of Finance at Unison Home Ownership Investors, specializing in shared equity homeownership. Before that, they held the position of Controller at Symphony Commerce from September 2016 to October 2017. In 2015, Laura served as the Director of Finance at Vital Logistics Ltd., a leader in Freight Brokerage and Freight Forwarding. Their professional journey began at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where they held the role of Manager in Private Company Services from September 2007 to February 2015. Prior to PwC, Laura worked in various roles across different companies from September 2002 to August 2007.

Laura Wensley, CA-CPA, holds a BSci (Hon) degree in Biology & Political Science from the University of Toronto, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Laura also completed a Diploma in Accounting (DAP) from The University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, they earned the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from the CA School of Business in 2010. Furthermore, they attended the Data Science Bootcamp at the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. Laura is also certified as a Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC in 2011.
