Gergő Tisza

Gergő Tisza is a software engineer who has worked for companies such as Rocket Internet GmbH and Vatera. Gergő is currently employed at the Wikimedia Foundation.

Tisza began their career in 2010 as a web developer for Vatera. Gergő assisted in the merger of the two largest Hungarian online marketplaces, converting them to use a common backend. Gergő also created an in-house framework for grando.hu, featuring solid OOP design and a security first approach.

In 2012, Tisza moved to Rocket Internet GmbH, where they worked on back- and frontend for the relaunch of the company website www.rocket-internet.de. Gergő also did sitebuilding for payleven.de and set up and maintained a test server for site upgrades.

Tisza joined the Wikimedia Foundation in 2013 and currently works as a staff software engineer.

Gergő Tisza has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Eötvös Loránd University and a MS in Information Technology from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Gergő Tisza reports to Greg Grossmeier, Director of Engineering. Gergő Tisza works with Michelle Horsey - Senior Software Engineer, Njideka Okafor - Software Engineer III (Contractor), and Nat Hillard - Senior Engineering Manager.
