Qizhang (Jerry) Yan

Qizhang (Jerry) Yan has a diverse work experience. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant at Ping Liu's lab and a Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego. Qizhang (Jerry) was also the President of UCSD ChemE Car in 2015. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at Jian Luo's Lab at UC San Diego and SCALAR EFRC (DOE Energy Frontier Research Center). During this time, they also worked as an Authorized 24/7 User at Irvine Materials Research Institute (IMRI) @UCI. In 2021, they worked as an Engineering Intern 3 at Lam Research. Finally, in 2022, they were a Scientist at Wildcat Discovery Technologies.

Qizhang (Jerry) Yan has a long history of education. From 2013 to 2017, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego. Qizhang (Jerry) then continued their studies at UC San Diego, receiving a Master of Science (MS) in Nanoengineering in 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanoengineering at UC San Diego, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In 2019, they also obtained a Mini-MBA from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management. Additionally, they have two certifications: a Transmission Electron Microscopy School - STEM Imaging and Spectroscopy track from UC Irvine obtained in December 2019 and an IGE Technology Management Program from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management obtained in September 2019.
