Emily Hurst is an experienced educator and lifeguard with a strong background in marine biology and emergency response. Since August 2013, Emily has worked as an educator at Ripley Aquarium at the Smokies, focusing on hands-on learning experiences for various age groups in the marine biology field. In addition, Emily has been a lifeguard at Wilderness Territory since July 2010, utilizing effective communication skills and certified CPR and first aid knowledge to ensure safety in aquatic environments. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Earth and Space Science from Tennessee Technological University, completed between 2010 and 2015, and is a graduate of Pigeon Forge High School.
