Ceilidh Boyd serves as the Assistant Deputy Chief at Waterloo Fire Rescue since April 2022, bringing extensive experience in emergency services. Previously, Ceilidh held positions as a Firefighter with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and a Wildland Firefighter with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Additionally, Ceilidh has contributed to education as a Course Instructor at Wilderness Medical Associates International and as a Professor at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. Other notable roles include laboratory supervisor at the University of Ottawa, wilderness guide, Junior Rangers Supervisor, and teacher for the Lakehead District School Board. Ceilidh holds a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University, complemented by an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology.
