Maya Warsame

Maya Warsame is an accomplished educator and administrator with extensive experience in the Montessori education system and leadership roles in various schools. Currently serving as a Wildflower Partner and Co-Director of the Wildflower Equity Initiative at Wildflower Schools since 2017, Maya has previously co-founded Lirio Montessori and held the position of Dean of Students at Hiawatha Academies. Early in the career, Maya was a First Grade Teacher at Richfield Dual Language School and taught Kindergarten and First Grade at PUC Schools. A former Corps Member with Teach For America, Maya holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a Montessori License from St. Catherine University, and an AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Center of Minnesota. Additionally, Maya earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace Studies and Psychology from the College of Saint Benedict.
