Emilio Bermeo is a Communications Specialist currently involved with the Wildlife Conservation Society on the GEF project focused on integrated watershed management of the Putumayo-Içá river basin. Previous experience includes consulting with IOM - UN Migration, where assistance was provided in local capacity building for temporary housing management. As a facilitator at De Cámaras a Camaradas, workshops on audiovisual production were delivered. Emilio coordinated communication efforts at Alianza Ceibo, leading training for women from various indigenous communities. Additional roles encompassed expert facilitation in audiovisual production at Fundación Aldhea and project direction with PerifériK, where a podcast on human mobility was developed. Emilio's educational background includes a Master's degree in Digital Media & Storytelling from Loyola University Chicago, a Research Master's in Visual Anthropology from FLACSO Ecuador, and a Bachelor's in Business/Corporate Communications from Universidad de Las Américas.
