Thaddeus Segura

Thaddeus Segura has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thaddeus currently serves as the Vice President of Data Products & Algorithms at Wiliot, where they lead a global team to utilize data science and machine learning to unlock the potential of their IoT pixel. Thaddeus is responsible for defining and executing the sensing roadmap to provide actionable data for customers.

Prior to their role at Wiliot, Thaddeus worked at Walmart where they held several positions. As the Director of Product - NextGen Inventory Management, they led a team focused on finding scalable solutions for tracking billions of cases from suppliers' factories to customers' homes. Thaddeus also served as the Principal Product Manager - Next Gen Stores, leveraging emerging technologies like Computer Vision, Robotics, and AR/VR to develop innovative solutions for Walmart stores of the future. Additionally, Thaddeus worked as the Senior Product Manager - Automation & Robotics, where they analyzed data and conducted user testing to optimize the adoption and effectiveness of automation and robotics programs.

Earlier in their career, Thaddeus worked as the Director of Operations at Walmart, where they managed various aspects of the business, including sales, inventory flow, hiring, compliance, and more. Thaddeus successfully executed large-scale projects and significantly grew the operations, generating additional profit. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Operations Manager, leading teams and solving issues related to associate engagement and satisfaction.

Outside of Walmart, Thaddeus served as an Executive Board Member at Watt Ave PBID, a non-profit organization focused on improving a business district in the Sacramento Area. Thaddeus played a critical role in formulating programs aimed at beautification and enhancing safety and security for business owners.

Thaddeus Segura began their education in 2006 at UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics. Thaddeus attended this institution until 2009. In 2013, Thaddeus pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Nevada, Reno, which they completed in 2014. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, Thaddeus attended the UC Berkeley School of Information, where they obtained a Masters degree in Data Science.
