Jim Barnhart

Jim Barnhart is an experienced professional with a diverse background in law enforcement, transportation, and K9 detection services. Currently serving as an Explosives Detection K9 Handler at AMK9 since April 2024, Barnhart is responsible for clearing freight of explosives for USPS at Portland International Airport. Barnhart also works as a Truck Driver for Willamette Falls Paper Company, holding a Class A CDL with multiple endorsements including Tanker, doubles, and Hazmat. Previous roles include truck driving positions at FedEx Freight and Reddaway, and a Coating Plant Technician at Willamette Falls Paper Company. Barnhart's career began at the Molalla Police Department, where a lengthy tenure as Police Sergeant spanned from February 1991 to June 2013. Education was obtained from Western Oregon University.
