Torben Engell Nielsen

Torben Engell Nielsen is an experienced executive in global operations, currently serving as Vice President of Global Operations at Demant since November 2016. Nielsen oversees a team of 1,300 in Custom Operations with responsibility for production and service hubs in Mexico, Poland, and Australia, as well as the Global Engineering & Technology Function and Business Development. Prior to this role, Nielsen held various leadership positions at Oticon, including Senior Director and Director of Product Development, and spent over a decade at NOKIA in multiple managerial roles relating to product development and mechanics. Nielsen's career began at Maersk Medical as a Sales Coordinator and Udenrigsministeriet as a Trade Assistant. Education credentials include a market economist degree in International Marketing from Copenhagen Business School.
