V. Kishan Mahabir

V. Kishan Mahabir has a diverse work experience in the medical field. V. Kishan began their career as a resident at Hamilton Health Sciences, where they completed their internal medicine residency in 2011. During this time, they focused on developing educational programs for medical students. Following their residency, Mahabir joined McMaster University, where they completed a fellowship in peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion and a nephrology fellowship. Their research interests lie in knowledge translation, particularly in primary care and referral processes. Mahabir has also worked at the Regional Kidney Wellness Center as a nephrologist and at William Osler Health System as an internist and site lead for general internal medicine. V. Kishan has served as the Chief Medical Officer at Sail Cannabis and currently holds the position of Nephrologist and Medical Cannabis Expert at Sakura Medical Centre.

V. Kishan Mahabir completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physiology at Western University from 2002 to 2005. V. Kishan then pursued further education in medicine, earning a Medical Doctor (MD) degree from McMaster University from 2005 to 2008.
