Christa Cook

Christa Cook, MPH, CIC, is a seasoned public health professional currently serving as the Quality and Strategic Management Program Supervisor in the Executive Leadership Division at Williamson County and Cities Health District since September 2022. Previously, Christa held the position of Data Analyst III on the Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Team. Christa's extensive experience includes roles such as Team Lead Epidemiologist III and Epidemiologist II at the Texas Department of State Health Services, focusing on invasive and respiratory infectious diseases, and environmental surveillance. Prior roles also encompass several positions at Williamson County and Cities Health District and the Texas Department of State Health Services, including public health prevention specialist and laboratory technician. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Epidemiology with a Global Health concentration from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin.
