Ruben Cedillo Orozco

Ruben Cedillo Orozco is a dedicated public policy professional with a strong background in community engagement and policy research. Currently serving as a Public Policy Fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and as a Policy Research Intern at williamsworks, Ruben has experience in fostering social impact through innovative strategies. As the Founder of Define Americano, Ruben established a community-run library focused on college preparation and financial literacy for underserved populations in North Durham. Additional roles include participating in Civic Synergy, interning at the Institute for Defense & Business, and completing a Fellowship with Progressive Pipeline, which supports underrepresented candidates in social change roles. Ruben's early experiences at the Campus Y at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America provided hands-on community service and leadership development. Furthermore, Ruben contributed to research on toxic speech in political campaigns while studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where a dual Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Global Studies was earned.
