Bob Matson has over 35 years of work experience in the aviation industry. Bob started their career at US Airways in 1984 as a Manager of Powerplant Engineering and remained in that role for almost 19 years. In 2003, they joined Pacific Gas Turbine Center as the Director of Engineering, overseeing engineering operations for three years. In 2006, they moved to Aviation Capital Group as the Manager of Powerplant Technical Services for three years before joining Willis Lease Finance Corporation in 2009. At Willis Lease Finance Corporation, Bob served as the Vice President of Technical Services and Engine Programs. Overall, Bob has held various managerial and leadership positions throughout their career, focusing on powerplant engineering and technical services.
Bob Matson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. In 2004, they also obtained a Professional Certificate in Coaching for Organizational Excellence from San Diego State University, completing the program in 2005.
