Emily Kohler has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. Emily is currently working as a Lead Usability Researcher at WillowTree since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Research at EdTech Evidence Exchange from March 2021 to December 2022, and as the Director of Implementation Research and Analysis from May 2018 to March 2021. Emily also worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia from December 2018 to December 2022. Before that, they held multiple roles at the University of Virginia, including Instructional Designer from April 2017 to June 2018, Research Assistant from August 2014 to May 2018, and Teacher Education Program Instructor from August 2014 to May 2018. Emily started their career at The Pilot School as an Upper Division Language Arts Teacher from August 2012 to July 2014.
Emily Kohler received their Honors Bachelor of Science in Education, with a focus on Elementary and Special Education, from the University of Delaware from 2008 to 2012. Emily went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional Technology at the University of Virginia from 2014 to 2018.
