Reza Ghassemieh

Reza is responsible for the development and delivery of Wilshire’s index product strategy. Before joining Wilshire in 2021, he had spent a decade at FTSE International, where he held a number of senior roles including board member, Chief Operating Officer overseeing production activities and infrastructure, and most recently, Chief Research Officer focusing on research and product development.

Prior to that, Reza was Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Research for Europe at Nomura International, steering the growth of the team behind the firm’s modelling and quantitative products as well as bespoke research. He also worked as senior quantitative analyst at James Capel & Co, now part of HSBC Investment Bank, where he was involved with passive management and derivative products.

Reza’s 34 years of experience running complex data and research projects has given him a deep understanding of the structures and processes surrounding high-quality data design, modelling, calculation and management.
