Nihal Rao

Nihal Rao is an experienced engineering professional specializing in wind energy, currently serving as a Senior Blade Specialist at Wind Power LAB since March 2024, where responsibilities include root cause analysis of field damages and providing repair recommendations. Previously, Nihal held roles at Vestas, first as Assistant Lead - Blades, overseeing the Shell & Web Components project for the V150+ modular blade family, and earlier as a Composite Engineer - Blades, focusing on design for manufacturing and process engineering support. Additional experience includes a Mechanical Engineer position at StepUp Solutions, a Temporary Assistant role at Profil Match, and a Master Thesis Student internship at Jupiter Bach. Nihal obtained a Master of Science in Wind Energy from DTU and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from NMAM Institute of Technology.
