Chris Ferraioli

Technical Data Science Manager at Windfall

Chris Ferraioli has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Research Assistant at Villanova University, conducting research on iron oxide nanoparticles with biomedical applications. Chris later joined Merial in 2008 as a Research Chemist, where they contributed to the formulation of a pharmaceutical product and formulated samples for clinical and safety trials. In 2012, Chris became a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they developed software for the ZDC detector and led statistical analyses of complex nuclear physics datasets, resulting in publications and presentations at international conferences. Chris also briefly served as an Instructor at the University. In 2017, Chris joined Cruise as a Data Scientist, specializing in data mining algorithms and dataset analyses to improve model performance. Currently, they are with Windfall, starting as a Senior Data Scientist in 2020 and subsequently progressing to the role of Staff Data Scientist before becoming the Technical Data Science Manager in 2022.

Chris Ferraioli attended Villanova University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Chris then pursued further education at Villanova University from 2007 to 2008, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. Afterward, they attended the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2017, where they completed a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry.
