Diego also served as the President of The San Francisco Wine Exchange, the oldest independent national wine marketing agency in the USA, where they managed a portfolio of family-owned wineries. Additionally, Diego was the Head of Global Marketing & Communications at Grupo Codorniu, a leading producer and marketer of wine and spirits. Diego has also had experience in brand development and management at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where they worked on marketing strategies for various international regions. Diego Lo Prete has a track record of successful marketing and turnaround efforts in the wine industry. Diego has been recognized for their contributions, including being honored with awards such as the "Team of the Year" Award.
Diego Lo Prete holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales, which they obtained from 1993 to 1998. In 2000-2001, they pursued a Master's Degree in Marketing Communications at Northwestern University. From 2011 to 2016, they obtained a Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Diego is currently a Stage 1 Student at The Institute of Masters of Wine. In 2021, they also completed a course in Digital Marketing Strategy at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
