Emily Cabaniss

Emily Cabaniss is a seasoned archivist and library professional with extensive experience in archival management, public communication, and digitization projects. Currently serving as the Lead Archivist at The Winthrop Group, Inc., Emily previously held leadership roles, including Acting County Archivist at King County, WA, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing the preservation of historical records and supervising archival staff. Prior experience includes the position of Company Librarian/Archivist at Seattle Opera, where Emily managed a substantial music collection and provided logistical support for productions. With a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington and a BA in Art History from the University of Puget Sound, Emily possesses a strong educational background to support a diverse range of archival and information management functions.
