J. Gary Batey has had extensive experience in the aviation and engineering industry. J. Gary started their career at GE Aircraft Engines as an Engineer, where they worked on the design and development of advanced jet aircraft engine technology. J. Gary then moved to FedEx, where they served as a Senior Manager in the Aviation Services group, focusing on aircraft purchase and sale transactions and developing aircraft modifications. Batey then became President of Alcoa SIE Cargo Conversions, overseeing the development and certification of Boeing 757 passenger aircraft to freighter configuration. J. Gary later founded AeroSpace International, specializing in used aircraft export transactions. Most recently, Batey served as President of Wiring Harness & Cable, leading the company's sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
J. Gary Batey obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Christian Brothers University, completing their education at the institution from 1979 to 1982. Then, in 1985, they pursued further studies in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering as part of a Master's program at the University of Cincinnati. It is important to note that they did not complete their Masters degree at the University of Cincinnati; rather, they engaged in work toward the degree for that specific duration.
