Hal M. has a diverse work experience spanning from 1994 to 2013. Hal started as a Senior Electronics Engineering Technician at Sequent Computer Systems, where they supported, built, debugged, and tested high-end Intel processor-based prototype computer systems. Hal then moved on to RLX Technologies as a contractor, bringing up engineering prototypes and pre-production Intel processor-based blade servers.
In 2004, Hal joined Fabric7 as a Senior Electronics Engineering Technician, where they brought up engineering prototypes of AMD Opteron-based servers, performed fine pitch solder rework, and provided general assistance to engineers. Hal then worked at Rim Semiconductor from 2007 to 2008, building and bringing up prototype analog front end boards for a new type of DSL modem.
Hal joined Virtensys in 2008 as a Senior Electronic Engineering Technician, where they built and brought up prototype and pre-production AMD Geode-based PCI Express switches. Hal managed parts and equipment inventory and documented and performed board modifications. Hal then worked at Intel Corporation as a Performance Lab technician through a contract with Volt. Hal performed power/performance testing on Intel's MIC (Xeon Phi) co-processor, using various tools and scripting languages to control and record testing results.
Most recently, Hal worked at Summit Wireless Technologies Inc. as a Senior Electronic Engineering Technician, performing component level repair on 5Ghz wireless speaker systems. Hal used various tools and equipment to test and troubleshoot small surface mount circuit boards, as well as solder and remove leadless surface mount parts and components.
