Amanda Burns possesses extensive experience in early childhood education and program management. Currently serving as the Shared Services Project Manager at the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association since August 2021, Amanda previously held the position of Assistant Director at the University Avenue Discovery Center from December 2019 to May 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Kindergarten Teacher at Catherine Cook, Leapfrog Instructor at the Center for Talent Development, Second Grade Teacher at Sacred Heart School Winnetka, and part-time Weekend Instructor for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Amanda began their educational career as a Teaching Intern and First-Year-Educator Blogger. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education with a Bilingual/ESL Endorsement from the Erikson Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Elementary Education from Marquette University.
