Gary Knowles

Gary Knowles has extensive experience in the travel and communications industries, serving as a columnist for Journal & Topics News since February 2011 and as a monthly travel advisor on the Joy Cardin Show for Wisconsin Public Radio since April 2010. As President of Knowles Communications since January 1994, Gary has helped clients gain prominent recognition in travel, hospitality, and entertainment. Previous roles include Travel Editor for Dane County Lifestyles Magazine, where Gary coordinated travel features, and a member of the Midwest Travel Writers Association, where Gary served as Meeting Sites Coordinator. With educational credentials including a BS in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gary's contributions to the industry have also involved founding and directing OpenAir Tours LLC and serving in various capacities within the Society of American Travel Writers.
