Ward Lyon

Ward Lyon currently serves as the Director of Fire Service Education and Training at the Wisconsin Technical College System since January 2024. Prior to this role, Ward held the position of Assistant Chief of Training at the Department of Military Affairs from April 2008 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing the career development of a fire department with 36 civilians and 28 military members. Ward's earlier experience includes firefighting and driving-operator roles, along with service as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 21 years, and as a firefighter in the US Army. Ward Lyon earned an Associate's degree in Fire Science/Firefighting from the Community College of the Air Force in 2018.
