Caio Leta began their career in 2011 as an Estagiário at Votorantim Cimentos, where they were a part of a team of geologists and engineers responsible for over 40 units across Brazil. During this time, they were given autonomy to execute various projects, including a study of the viability of areas in Santa Catarina, which became their project for their conclusion of studies at USP. In 2018, they became a Sócio de Franquia at Método Supera Pinheiros, a school of gymnastics for the brain focused on the preservation and improvement of cognitive abilities, with emphasis on the elderly. In 2020, they became the Founder of pro.Jeta, and in 2022, they took on the role of Head of Science and Research at DISRUX. In this role, they created scenarios and models about the future and validated them, analyzing macro trends in a qualitative and quantitative manner. In short, the mission of the research area is to reduce the information asymmetry and translate the future to guide decisions in the present.
Caio Leta has a long history of education in the field of Geology and Earth Sciences. From 2008 to 2012, they attended the USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they studied Geology and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. From 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at USP. In 2019, they were a visiting researcher at Memorial University of Newfoundland in the field of Geology/Earth Sciences. Finally, from 2016 to 2020, they completed a Doctorate degree in Geology/Earth Sciences at USP.
