Zhen Zhang

Zhen (Jason) Zhang is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Wish, where responsibilities include overseeing multiple teams in core infrastructure areas such as data storage and analytics platforms since August 2020. As a PMC/Committer for the Apache Helix Project with The Apache Software Foundation since May 2012, Zhen contributes to open-source software development. Previously, Zhen held the position of Engineering Manager at Airbnb from April 2015 to August 2020, focusing on infrastructure for the China business unit and managing projects related to data warehousing and cloud services. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, specializing in distributed data storage, from May 2011 to April 2015. Zhen holds a Ph.D. from UC Irvine and a Master's degree from Southeast University.
