Dave Stevens

Dave Stevens has extensive experience in engineering and certification within the aerospace industry. Dave is currently working as a Principal Certification Engineer at Wisk since July 2023. Before that, they held the role of Certification Program Manager at Joby Aviation from July 2019 to July 2023. From 2014 to 2019, they served as the Director of Programs & Certification at Terrafugia.

Prior to these roles, Dave Stevens worked as the Engineering Services Manager at Quest Aircraft Company from February 2004 to June 2014, where they managed various engineering services. Dave also gained valuable experience as a Member of the Technical Staff at Jet Propulsion Laboratory from June 1988 to April 1995.

Alongside their professional positions, Dave Stevens is the owner of David Stevens Consulting, which they established in April 1995. The company offers engineering consulting services covering new design, redesign, and technical documentation, among other aspects of mechanical and electromechanical design.

Dave Stevens received their Bachelor of Science with Honors in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech in 1990. Dave then pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech, which they completed in 1994. In addition, they obtained a Private Pilot certification from the FAA in 2012.
