Kevin Brent

Kevin Brent is the current Vice President of Finance at Reach. Prior to this, they were the Chief Investment Officer at Bluesky Equities from October 2014 to August 2021. Kevin was responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary investment team and setting and reviewing the strategic and tactical asset allocation policies. Kevin Brent was also responsible for evaluating and implementing passive and active investment strategies.

From June 2013 to October 2014, Kevin Brent was an Analyst of Revenue Forecasting at Canadian Pacific Railway. Kevin's responsibilities included developing and maintaining econometric demand forecasting models, compiling and testing macroeconomic factors for statistical significance, interpreting and overlaying market intelligence from various internal stakeholders to create a consensus revenue forecast, and analyzing key metrics and reviewing any variance between forecast values and realized business. Kevin Brent also created and improved upon automated self-serve reports using SAP (BI and BPC), SAS, and Excel.

Prior to their work at Canadian Pacific Railway, Kevin Brent was a Regional Sales Representative at AGF Management Limited from October 2011 to June 2013. Before that, they were the Workshop Coordinator at Saint Mary's University from September 2010 to April 2011.

Kevin Brent completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Saint Mary's University, with a focus in finance, accounting, and economics. Kevin then completed a business program at Mount Royal University. Finally, they completed a general program at the University of Calgary. Kevin Brent is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and has Canadian Securities Course (Honours) certification from the Canadian Securities Institute.

Kevin Brent reports to Sam Ranieri, CEO. They work with Melissa Pottenger - Head of Key Partnerships, Ross Mceachern - Marketing Assistant, and Matthew Cannon - Chief Strategy Officer.
