Sam Sheridan

Sam Sheridan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sam's most recent role is as a Software Engineer at Shepherd since 2022. Prior to that, Sam worked as a Software Engineer II at Ridgeline from 2021 to 2022 and as a Software Engineer I at Ridgeline from 2021 to 2022.

Sam also has experience in data science as a Data Science Fellow at Central Coast Data Science Partnership from 2020 to 2021. In this role, Sam studied ethics and fairness in machine learning, modeled COVID spread based on wastewater viral load measurements, and built models for resource distribution. Sam also explored machine learning privacy metrics and differential privacy.

Sam has previous experience as a Math Peer Advisor at the University of California, Santa Barbara from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, Sam worked as a QA/Software Engineering Intern at Ridgeline in 2020.

Sam also has experience as a Business Analyst at Associated Students of UC Santa Barbara from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, Sam worked as a Consultant at TAMID Group from 2018 to 2019.

In 2018, Sam had an internship at Sue Mills Uniforms, where they rotated through various positions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business. Sam also assisted in clothing embroidery, product shipping, and document organization, and sat in on management and strategy meetings.

In 2016, Sam worked as a Yogurista at Loving Cup for a brief period.

Sam Sheridan attended Redwood High School, TUHSD from 2013 to 2017, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following high school, Sam went on to UC Santa Barbara from 2017 to 2021. At UC Santa Barbara, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Additionally, Sam obtained certifications in AWS (Amazon Web Services), including AWS Certified Developer – Associate in August 2021 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in June 2021.
