Candice (she/her) is an activist and writer with over a decade of experience supporting frontline communities and movements organizing for collective liberation. As part of WITNESS’ External Relations team, she helps message and resource mission-driven work pushing local and system-level transformation for more just, inclusive, and sustainable futures.
Prior to joining WITNESS, she oversaw development and operations at School of the Americas Watch and helped found an organization that provides protection workshops and accompaniment to threatened human rights and environmental defenders in Colombia. She is passionate about the power of truth to preserve memory, expose injustice, and organize for accountability.
Candice is currently on the board of directors of Fellowship of Reconciliation Peace Presence and provides pro bono fundraising and operations support to the Building Movements in Defense of Life Coalition and Muslim Counterpublics Lab. She is bilingual (English and Spanish) and holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
