Thomas Adams

Chief Curator & VP, Research at Witte Museum

Thomas L. Adams is an experienced paleontologist and geologist currently serving as the Chief Curator and Vice President of Research at the Witte Museum since June 2013. In this role, Thomas participates in the acquisition, curation, preparation, and conservation of fossil, mineral, and rock collections, while also providing educational resources through exhibitions, public education, and scientific lectures. Additionally, Thomas works as a Research Affiliate at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and holds the position of Research Associate at the Vertebrate Paleontology Collections at the University of Texas, Austin since 2017. Thomas also teaches as an Adjunct Faculty and Guest Lecturer at Trinity University, reflecting an extensive academic background that includes a Ph.D. and a Master’s of Science from Southern Methodist University, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees from the University of Wyoming.
