Victor Ochoa

Senior Art Director - Worldbuilding at Wizards of the Coast

Victor Ochoa has extensive experience in the field of art and design, with a focus on creative direction and graphic design. Victor started their career as a Junior Graphic Designer at Simon & Schuster, where they worked on children's books for major licensors. Victor then moved on to Scholastic, where they continued to design children's books, including the "New York Times Best Seller" Spot the Dot.

After that, Victor worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Penguin Random House, taking on various design projects. Victor also worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at HarperCollins Publishers, where they art-directed and designed over 300 books for well-known brands such as Electronic Arts, PopCap Games, and DC Entertainment. Some notable projects at HarperCollins include "The New York Times Best Sellers" Divergent: Official Illustrated Movie Companion and Kid President's Guide to Being Awesome.

Following their time at HarperCollins, Victor worked as a Freelance Illustrator at The String Theory, where they provided freelance illustration services. Victor then joined Marvel Entertainment as a Lead Publishing Designer, responsible for art direction and design for major Marvel Publishing business units and campaigns.

Victor later joined Sony Pictures Entertainment, first as an Art Director for Crunchyroll & VRV, where they led a team of creatives and oversaw the creation of digital and print assets. Victor then took on the role of Creative Director for Funimation, where they championed a creative dream team and oversaw all global marketing and brand creative for the omnichannel entertainment business.

Most recently, Victor joined Wizards of the Coast as a Senior Art Director - Worldbuilding.

Victor Ochoa attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art.
