David Carter

David Carter has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. David started their career in 1988, founding and serving as CEO of Vertical Technologies, Inc. David developed and launched BAR-ONE and Barcode Anything, which became the market leaders for retail barcode software. The company was sold to Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ ZBRA), where they served as President of the newly created subsidiary. In 1999, they founded and served as CEO of Thoughtstar, Inc., which was later sold to Cisco for global collaboration and subsequently acquired by iManage (NASDAQ, IMAN) now Autonomy Corp (AUTN). From 2001 to 2003, they served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Draper Fisher, Wasatch Ventures, and Epic Ventures. In 2011, they co-founded Amplify.LA and served as a Strategic Advisor. From 2014 to 2015, they served as Co-Founder and CEO of Zuma Ventures and Partner at Zuma Partners. In 2015, they also became CEO of WiZR, a company disrupting the video surveillance and analytics market.
