Jeffrey Thompson

Jeffrey Thompson is an experienced Underwriting Counsel at Westcor Land Title Insurance Company, specializing in providing guidance and education for title insurance issuance in the MidAtlantic Region since October 2013. Prior legal experience includes serving as Of Counsel at Liff & Walsh, LLP, where representation of buyers, sellers, and private lenders in commercial transactions took place, alongside developing a commercial title practice and serving as an expert witness. Earlier roles include Vice President at Anchor Title Company and Vice President & Commercial Underwriting Counsel at Chicago Title Insurance Company/Fidelity National Title Group, where complex commercial real estate transactions were managed. Jeffrey has also served as General Counsel at Maximum Title and practiced as a Sole Practitioner focusing on real estate and title law early in the career. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland.
