Eric Nichols has a long and varied work history. Eric began their career in 1996 as a Graduate Assistant Coach for Women's Volleyball at the University of Tennessee at Martin. In 1998, they joined the Vanderbilt University Athletic Department, where they held the roles of Director of Marketing and Promotions, Director of Online Services, Director of Events and Game Operations, and Assistant Director of Facilities. In 2006, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University. From 2009 to 2014, they were involved with External Committees. From 2014 to 2022, they were President of the National Association of Collegiate Administrators, Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina, and Deputy Athletics Director/External Operations at South Carolina Gamecocks. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Innovation at WMT.
Eric Nichols is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of South Carolina, studying Sport and Entertainment Management. Prior to this, they obtained an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1997 and a BS in Sports Management from the same university in 1996.
